1870's Phippsburg Hampton: The Maine Lobster boat before the engine and the Friendship sloop. An exceptionally comfortable, able and fast sailing craft. I thought the sail in front (main or fore depending on who you're talking to at the time) acted a lot like today's genoa jib. It's easy to see where the modern built down lobster boat hull came from.
